Wood Block Prints
     by Pamela Gould Neece

While I majored in art and worked for a few years as a commercial artist, it's only been in the last few years that I have gotten back to spending  some  time on my art.
Trained as a painter, I have finally admitted that what I really am is a graphic artist -- even my paintings are more graphic than painterly.
And I have discovered I love doing wood block prints!
The drawing. The carving. The printing. All of it.
I'm fortunate to live in an area with lots of parks, and proximity to the Delaware River and to Bucks County, PA, with all its wonderful old barns and buildings. All great subject matter to explore.
I had a Tulip Poplar in the back yard. In the Spring, standing on the raised deck, I was eye-level with the lovely tulip-like flowers.
